Grimes considers permanent vampire fangs and elf ears
Grimes has always been open about her interest in fantasy and cosplay. She’s now announced her intention to take things up a notch by making permanent alterations to her teeth and ears to help give her the appearance of a vampire and elf, respectively. She shared the news in a roundabout way, asking her Twitter followers Monday night to recommend plastic surgeons with experience performing these types of procedures.
She kicked off the thread casually: “2 years ago I made an appt with a great plastic surgeon, thought I might want to change things up by my mid 30s, but then I forgot and never thought about what I should do. Any face mods y’all think would look good on me?”
The tweet ends with the caveat that elf ears are a “separate quest” for her. It’s followed, however, by another post in which the art-pop star explicitly asks for “great/ safe/ reliable people who could do vampire teeth caps” and “reputable elf ear modifiers.” She also notes that she isn’t entirely sold on the latter procedure, as it would require permanent stitches.
She later returned to the thread to clarify her position. “Ps sorry if weird 2 discuss this openly,” she wrote, “just seems unhealthy how every1 in media hides body mods,then ppl feel self conscious. Im also less interested in conventional beauty (I will keep my nose) - but moreso is there anything else that wud look sick?”
