Jeremiah 27:9-10 (ESV)
9 So do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your fortune-tellers, or your sorcerers, who are saying to you, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon.’10 For it is a lie that they are prophesying to you, with the result that you will be removed far from your land, and I will drive you out, and you will perish.
While Jezebel considered her priests serving Baal as belonging to a religion. The Christian faith is clear that they nor Jezebel served the true and one living God. It is also clear that dreamers, fortune-tellers, magicians nor sorcerers serve the God of the Christian faith. In fact God stated they lie against his word and do not serve him. In deed, the bible also includes prophets, because while God uses prophets, he and Jesus are clear that their are false prophets even those who will say they are Jesus himself.
Modern day practitioners of witch craft, sorcery, fortune telling and other diviners often try to package their faiths, practices, symbols and rituals in a way that is palatable to main stream society these proclamations often operate secretly, overtly and in half truths. While faiths like Catholicism and Christianity, at least biblicaly, shine the light and put forth principals based on morals and values, such as truth.
