Its true. Our tropical weather loving orchid sprouted in the winter. Perhaps we should mention that our orchid is a house plant. Several months after we purchased our orchid she slowly lost all of her flowers. Like other flowers, orchids have a season in which it blooms. As a side note orchids are edible.

Once her flowers were gone, we moved her to more sunlight and continued to feed her. After several months she grew two new shots from which new flowers could bloom. The wonderful thing about plants, indoors and outdoors, is that once you think they will never grow again, they sprout and begin to grow again.

What are you growing in your garden this season? Are you growing anything this winter? Will you grow indoors or outdoors?
