1930S: FUR STOLE By the 1930s, fur in fashion had become more commonplace in everyday society. The price of fur began to climb, and it was seen as a luxury to own a piece of fur in your wardrobe. While fur coats were more popular towards the beginning of the 20th century, styles began to shrink and shorten as they became more acceptable to wear during the daytime.
