Tim Tszyu has vowed to "keep going" after his shocking three-round loss to Bakhram Murtazaliev on Saturday night. Dropped four times and never in a bout he was expected to win, Tszyu has now lost two fights in a row and his future is uncertain.
"I got caught with a shot and just couldn't move on," Tszyu said on social media. "Kept getting up but that wasn't good enough.
"Congrats to my opponent on a tremendous performance. But yeah, we move on, regroup and my team will be back."
The stoppage defeat, which saw Tszyu's corner throw the towel while his father Kostya Tszyu watched from ringside, came seven months after a split decision loss to Sebastian Fundora. Tszyu, not so long ago one of the hottest young stars in the sport, is now 24-2 (17 KOs).
"I will be back and still be in big fights soon," the 29-year-old continued. "But now I've got to find plenty of answers from myself, of course.
"The main thing my dad told me when I was young was to never give up. If you shoot for the stars and you crash and burn along the way, just keep going. And I'm going to keep going."
